He fought a brief but valiant battle with cancer. He was born July 1, 1951, in Terre Haute, to the late Martin and Sara Myers. He attended Culver Academy and graduated from Montezuma High School. He was also a member of the Community Bible Church of Dana. After living in Indiana most of his life, he moved to Oklahoma in 1990, where he owned and operated Myers Operations, an oil production company.
