Wilson obituary - 1944 L.E. Wilson, 81, retired farmer, died at 5 a.m. Saturday in his home on Highland avenue following a long illness. Survivors are the wife, Mrs. Dora Ella Wilson; three sons, Floyd, of Providence, Rodney, of Akron, Ohio, and Clay Wilson of Springfield, Ohio; four daughters, Mrs. Elzie Harkins and Miss Mindia Wilson of Providence, Mrs. Verna Cates and Mrs. Aubrey Oakley of Sturgis; two sisters, Misses Manera and Eugenia Wilson, Nebo route 1; and sixteen grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Victory Baptist church, with the Rev. E.G. Sisk of Dixon officiating. Pallbearers were Bert Witherspoon, Walter Bentley, Carl Harkins, Everett Hobgood, Carroll Vaughn, and W.F. Johnson. Burial was in Lakeview cemetery. Wilson obituary - 1944 L.E. Wilson, 81, retired farmer, died at 5 a.m. Saturday in his home on Highland avenue following a long illness. Survivors are the wife, Mrs. Dora Ella Wilson; three sons, Floyd, of Providence, Rodney, of Akron, Ohio, and Clay Wilson of Springfield, Ohio; four daughters, Mrs. Elzie Harkins and Miss Mindia Wilson of Providence, Mrs. Verna Cates and Mrs. Aubrey Oakley of Sturgis; two sisters, Misses Manera and Eugenia Wilson, Nebo route 1; and sixteen grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Victory Baptist church, with the Rev. E.G. Sisk of Dixon officiating. Pallbearers were Bert Witherspoon, Walter Bentley, Carl Harkins, Everett Hobgood, Carroll Vaughn, and W.F. Johnson. Burial was in Lakeview cemetery.
