She wed Tolbert Hibbs in 1838 and the pair had numerous children. She was laid to rest in June 1901. At the time of her death, local papers characterized her as an "old and respected lady" and "one of the early settlers of the county." (Source: The Bee, 1901; The Courier-Journal, 1901).
