Francis Poythress. Upon his marriage, Robert Wynne became an instant father to Mary’s four children by Francis Poythress; they had at least four more children of their own: Robert, Thomas, Joshua and Mary. She was buried next to her husband at Jordan's Church, est. 1657, now Merchants Hope Church. NOTE: FG does not have a link to the Merchants Hope Church cemetery, est.1657, which is next door to Merchants Hope Memorial Park. Amonute Matoaka, aka Pocahontas, with her husband, John Rolfe, gave birth to a son, Thomas, in 1615. She then died on that trip to England in 1616. Her son Thomas Rolfe then married Jane Poythress, Mary Sloman's child and Robert Wynne’s stepchild. They had a daughter, Jane Rolfe. All stones at Jordan's Church were destroyed by Northern troops during the Civil War.
