Lord Darcy of Knaith, Knight of Hedstone, Northumberland, King's Councillor, Constable of the Tower of London.
Son and heir to Sir John Darcy, Lord Darcy and Emmeline Heron, daughter of Walter.
Husband of Eleanor de Holand, daughter of Sir Robert de Holand and Maud de la Zouche, daughter of Sir Alan de la Zouche. They married before 08 July 1332, and Eleanor died before 21 Nov 1341.
Secondly, husband of Lady Elizabeth de Meinill, daughter of Sir Nicholas de Meinill and Alice de Ros. They were married by dispensation dated 07 Jan 1345 as she was related to his first wife. They had two sons and one daughter; Sir John, Sir Philip and Alice who married John Colville.
Sir John had a grant of £40 a year in 1341. In 1344 he was appointed Keeper of the manor of Burstwick, and Escheator in Holderness for life. He fought in the Battle of Crécy in 1346, and in the Siege of Calais from 1346 to 1347. John was summoned to Parliament 1348 to 1353 as Johanni Darcy de Knayth.
His widow remarried Sir Peter de Mauley and she died 09 July 1368.
