- much info obtained from the book 'Historical Genealogy of the Woodsons and their Connections'
- may have been the brother to Robert Woodson's 1st wife Sarah Lewis
- In William and Mary Qtrly there is this statement, 'There is a nuncupative will of William Lewis who mentions his two sons William Lewis and Joseph Lewis, and
- wife Adding, who was perhaps his 2nd wife.'
- The names of these children are recorded in the fourth generation but farther than that the line has not been traced.
- 1707 - grandfather Robert Woodsobn of Henrico Co, VA made a deed to these two grandsons, William Lewis Jr and Joseph Lewis

- Regarding the above statement about 2nd wife Adding(?) - the actual document states: '... he disposed of all the residuals of his estate to his wife, Adding, considering
- his children, that they were her children as well as his and for that reason doubted not but that she would do as well for them as he would do if in her place, therefore
- he would give nothing from her, but leave all to her disposal.' --- The fact that the word adding was capitalized have led many to believe it was a name -- his wife's name ????
