Notes for Michael Hargan:
On the tombstone of Michael Hargan at Patterson Chapel Cemetery, Ft. Knox Military Reservation, Ky., states "At the age of 16, Michael immigrated, with two sisters, from Ireland to New York, circa 1768. On 10 Feb 1776, he enlisted in the 1st Penn. Regimant as a rifleman, at Hagerstown, Maryland and served 14 months in the Continental Army with Captain John Nelson, under the command of Colonel De Hoss. On 3 Aug 1791 Michael married Elizabeth Wallingford at Berkeley, Virginia.
