According to her father's family Bible she was born 5 March 1780, so the age on her tombstone is probably overstated. She was a daughter of Gabriel Washburn and his second wife Priscilla Jones. Her mother Priscilla was NOT a McSwain, although Priscilla may have lived in the household of her brother-in-law David McSwain and his first wife Hannah Jones. Rodia married 21 March 1799 Thomas Martin. Her name was Rhoda, although the tombstone reads Rodia.
Thomas Martin and Rhoda Washburn had four children:
Priscilla Martin, married Alexander Moreland.
Sabra Martin, married Freeman Logan.
Gabriel Martin. married Lucinda -----.
Thomas Martin, married Sarah Rippy.
The remainder of Thomas Martin's children were by his second wife Elizabeth.
