Mrs. Peggy (Mayhugh) Travis, age 72 of Benton, KY died on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at her residence. Born Thursday, October 17, 1946 in Smithland, KY, she was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church and was a self-employed business owner.
Mrs. Travis is survived by her husband of 37 years, Jerry Travis of Benton, KY; son, Troy Carl Utley, Jr. and wife Lori Anne of Benton, KY, daughter, Jill Allyson Travis of Benton, KY, brothers, Don Mayhugh of Buffalo, IL and Lynn Mayhugh of Smithland, KY, sisters, Carol Stacy of Paducah, KY and Beverly Brooks of Paducah, KY; 4 grandchildren, Terra Bass of Paducah, KY, Corey Utley of Paducah, KY, Amanda Edwards of Benton, KY and April Vinton of Benton, KY and 2 great-grandchildren, Emree Bass and Kayson Sholar.
Mrs. Travis was preceded in death by her brother Robert Mayhugh, Jr. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Laverne (Gentry) Mayhugh.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 8, 2018 in the chapel of Collier Funeral Home, with Rev. Joel Frizzell officiating. Burial will follow in Provine Cemetery.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Collier Funeral Home.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the Marshall County Exceptional Center, P.O. Box 423, Benton, KY 42005.
