  - ** See marriage notes for list of children ** ********************************************** I don't think William Bradley Utley and Nancy C Utley listed as children of Royal and Martha Utley are actually their children. Neither child is mentioned in Royal's will or estate settlement. William Bradley Utley died in 1860. Royal Utley's estate settlement listed a William Utley paid a child's share in 1882. A William Utley was listed with Royal as age 22 (making birth yr 1828-not 1830) on the 1850 census and also listed as an idiot. Also, Royal Utley's 1840 census had 3 males age 10-14, all 3 accounted for in the will or estate settlement (John S, a William(?), and Obediah). George W Utley's 1840 census had 2 males age 5-9, only 1 accounted for. Nancy C Utley listed as age 17 on the 1850 census for Royal Utley (possibly she is a son's wife?), but on the 1840 census only 1 female age 5-9, Martha S Utley, who is accounted for in the estate settlement.
