(1750-NVAMD-019.000) John Manley wm I expired testate on or about 25 June, 1751 at Fairfax co., VA with issue:
Penelope Manley II b on [15 June 1731, 25 March 1752] with pfp on [15 June 1746, d.]
m. Daniel French on [1720, 1773)
Sarah Manley b. on [15 June 1731, 25 March 1752] with pfp on [15 June 1746, d.]
possibly m. Townsend Dade
Harrison Manley b. on [15 June 1731, 25 March 1752] with pfp on [15 June 1746, d.]
m. Margaret Barrey
John Manley wm II
b. on [15 June 1731, 25 March 1752] with pfp on [15 June 1746, 25 March 1852]
m. ?
and was survived by widow Sarah Manley. All children were presumably born in that portion of Prince William co., VA that in 1731 became Fairfax co., Va. Previous career was a planter in Fairfax co., VA., which may have been part of older Prince William co., VA. His will was probated and indicates that his cousin was Hugh West (possibly through mother Ann Turley West-Manley). He claims a 'brother' as Anthony Russell. This brother proves that this John Manley was the son of William Manley as William Manleys widow, Penelope Higgins Manley, m. Andrew Russell after William Manleys death and had a son named Anthony Russell; i.e. the brother referred to here was a half-brother.
