On his will, written in May 1781, Alexander named his wife Mary D. Crockett and six children, 2 sons and four daughters. In 1782 Mary Crockett was listed on the Rockbridge Co. Tithtable [3s - 9h - 17c - three slaves (Martha, Sambo and Sol) nine horses and seventeen cattle (Morton, History of Rockbridge, p. 365, 371) Mary married Alexander Rhea, and moved to Kentucky sometime between 1782-1791. Her daughter Margaret Crockett was named as a ward of Alexander Rhea on the marriage license of Margaret Crockett and George Carlyle in Bourbon County, Kentucky in 1791. In 1818 Alexander Rhea's son William was a co-administrator of Alexander's estate along with his mother Polly [Mary].
